转学去芝加哥大学，这些限制条件你了解吗?芝加哥大学(The University of Chicago)，是一所位于美国伊利诺伊州芝加哥的私立、男女同校、无宗教派别的研究型大学，1890年由约翰·洛克菲勒创办，在1892年10月1日正式开课。芝加哥大学是美国最富盛名的大学之一，共有89位获得诺贝尔奖得主在此工作或学习。那么，芝加哥大学的转学和转学分政策有什么特别之处?录取难度大不大?对国际生有哪些要求?

芝加哥大学转学政策

首先，什么样的学生被认为是转学生呢?所有入读大学学位课程一学期或以上的学生，都是转学生，都要按转学生申请 (The University of Chicago considers you a transfer applicant if you have completed one term as a full-time student in a degree-seeking program at another college or university)。 所有转学生都至少要在Chicago读两年(6个quarters)，完成核心课程和至少一半的专业课(Transfer students must attend the College for at least two academic years (six quarters) and complete the Core curriculum and at least half of their major with us )。 转学生只接受秋季入学。而且国际转学生是没有奖学金的。

芝加哥大学转学分政策

转学生必须在Chicago入读至少六个quarters，可以全职或兼职，并至少要完成18门课程。

在芝加哥大学，并不是所有的课程都可以转学分。在两年制(相当于国内的大专)或四年制的大学，至少学习三个学期或四个季度的文科课程，并获得C以上的分数(特殊情况下要求B以上的分数)都是可以转的(Liberal arts courses carrying at least three semester hours or four quarter hours of credit and passed with a grade of C or better (in some cases, a grade of B or better is required) from an accredited two- or four-year institution)。AP课程分数在4或5可转，但不包括 CLEP, USAFI等相关课程。

初级微积分，微积分和外语，这些课程可否转学分还要看学生具体情况。如学生的专业，课程的等级，化学物理和生物的学分有时候还要根据考试来定。专业或技术课程不可转，如新闻、商业、法律、音乐演出、演讲、护理等。只有和学校开设的课程相似的才可以转。学生在Chicago毕业后，成绩单上只显示可转的学分(Upon graduation from the University of Chicago, transfer credits are listed on the student’s University of Chicago transcript only as the number of credits approved for transfer. )，不显示课程名字和分数。

芝加哥大学申请要求

芝加哥大学只接受秋季转学，截止日期为3月1号，学校会根据申请人数的多少择优录取，录取结果通常为5月份，学生回复及交押金的日期是6-1。申请费为75美金。学生申请需要提交SAT分数，但不要求SAT Subject，如果有sub更好，可以作为补充材料提交。GPA通常要求3.5以上。

国际生托福分数要求较低100分。在美国高中或大学学习两年以上可以免考，但是不包括语言课程(The only exceptions are for applicants who for two or more years have attended a high school or college in the U.S. UChicago does not offer an ESL program for admitted students)。

芝加哥大学录取难度

芝加哥大学转学生录取难度是非常大的，录取率很低，往年所有国际生总数一般才为3—4个，今年2015年扩招了，在中国一共招了5个转学生(We admitted a very small number of transfer students this year; I don’t have the exact numbers handy but my estimate is that we admitted approximately 5 students from China (both currently studying in China and students who are from China but currently study in the US)。
